Stanford Group Company Announces New National Position And Promotion in Baton Rouge

2/15/2007

Baton Rouge, LA (February 15, 2007) – Stanford Group Company is continuing the expansion of its company with the addition of a new executive position that will oversee the entire private client group. Jason Green, formerly senior managing director of Stanford's Baton Rouge office, has been named president of the company's private client group. Financial Advisor Grady Layfield has been named managing director for the Baton Rouge office.

Green will remain in Baton Rouge, managing Houston-based Stanford's growing private wealth management division. In addition to its Baton Rouge office, Stanford has offices in Miami, Boca Raton and Longboat Key, FL, Houston, Dallas, Austin, Charlotte, Memphis, Nashville, Denver, Atlanta, Little Rock, Lafayette, LA and Jackson and Tupelo, MS. The company has plans to continue its expansion throughout 2007.

“I am honored that the leadership of this company has placed its confidence in me to oversee our private client activities across the United States. We are continuing to expand, and I'm glad to have the opportunity to be at the helm of such a dynamic and growing company,” said Green.

As president, Green will manage the expansion and daily operations of the company's private client group offices, working directly with the managing directors in each market to ensure consistency and quality of services offered. The private client group works in conjunction with Stanford's equity research and policy research groups to provide a full complement of investment advisory services.

Green believes his newly created position and its presence in Baton Rouge will be a big plus for the Greater Baton Rouge area. “Baton Rouge will now be a key management link for our private client group — that means Stanford executives and their associates from across the country, as well as many international executives, will be traveling to Baton Rouge on a regular basis,” Green said. “I’m proud to have the opportunity to shine such a positive spotlight on the community that I call home,” he added.

Layfield also sees opportunities for the Baton Rouge office. “Jason’s leadership in the Stanford organization has resulted in honor and distinction for our office and for Baton Rouge as well,” said Layfield. “This translates into enhanced services, products and attention for, and to, our clientele. I'm delighted to be stepping up as market leader for our office here. We ultimately have to thank our clients for the new direction in which we’re headed,” he added.
